Tobey Parker (b. 2000, Brooklyn, NY) is a multimedia artist, archivist, and publicist based in Queens, NY, whose work is informed by his fascination with the soft power of cute. Using consumer culture and aesthetics as source material across large-scale paintings, illustrations, and creative direction that explore human relation to soft power, through the lens of post-y2k coming of age. Icons of cute, like those spotted during childhood trips to 99 cent stores, inhabit the work as stand-ins for the many faces we wear publicly.
Tobey received his BFA in Fine Arts from Parsons School of Design. In 2021, he co-founded and established visual archive and brand visitnymph, which has amassed over 45K followers.
